Ending Gender-Based Violence Through Inclusive Empowerment
Empowering Women, Engaging Men, Protecting the Vulnerable
At Liwode, we believe that ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and abuse requires the collective efforts of all — women, men, youth, and community leaders. Our approach is holistic, focusing on prevention, education, inclusion, and community-driven change.

Our Approach to Combating Gender-Based Violence
We tackle the root causes of GBV by combining advocacy, awareness, education, and empowerment in both urban and rural communities. Our programs include:
Community Outreach and Advocacy
We host GBV awareness campaigns, community dialogues, and public forums where survivors and advocates share experiences, learn about their rights, and explore ways to foster safer, inclusive communities.
Engaging Men and Boys as Allies
“Gender equality is not a women’s issue — it’s everyone’s issue.”
We involve men and boys in all our programs to help challenge toxic masculinity, promote positive behavior, and reduce violence
Our initiatives include:
Male Champion Training: Equipping men to become role models and speak out against abuse.
Boys Dialogue Circles: Safe spaces for boys to learn about respect, consent, and healthy masculinity.
Fatherhood Forums: Engaging fathers in discussions about gender roles, parenting, and equality.
